Let’s start with a question!

What’s one meaningful change you’re willing to commit to for a better quality of life by New Year’s Eve? Imagine the difference a few small shifts could make, elevating your self-worth and expanding the value you bring to the world.

Here are a few insights I’ve found transformative—ideas that helped me get out of my own way and gain traction toward a more fulfilling path. Let’s make this season a time of intentional growth.

  1. Choose Happiness. This is foundational. Choosing happiness can reshape your entire experience, and there’s no downside to it. If you’re curious where to begin, look up Shawn Achor’s famous 12-minute TED Talk—a fantastic start. Then, practice, practice, practice. It’s the small changes, repeated daily, that lead to lasting shifts. I can tell you firsthand how many times I had to remind myself to do one small thing until it finally became part of who I am. No regrets there.
  2. Embrace the 8-37-55 Communication Model. Look in the mirror—what message are you sending without words? This interpersonal communication model can improve your self-awareness and help you connect meaningfully with others, even over Zoom or Skype. And yes, it can make you a powerful influencer. If you want to dive deeper, Dr. Amy Cuddy’s TED Talk is an incredible resource.
  3. Learn from the Best Online Teachers. Matt Gray, Eddie Pinero, Dr. Andrew Huberman, Dr. Peter Attia, and Laura Patterson are my “go-to” guides. They’re constantly sharing insights that you can adopt to better your life. They’re smart, successful, and accessible when you need them. Find a nugget of wisdom every time you engage with their work.
  4. Build a Foundation for 2025 and Beyond. Happiness, enhanced communication, and continuous learning set the stage for lasting change. Start now, and your future self will thank you. In a world of constant change, take advantage of these fundamentals that many people overlook.

Today, I invite you to try just one of these practices. It’s not a one-size-fits-all, but you can shape it to fit your life and goals.

Science backs it up—research on neuroplasticity shows that new habits can rewire your brain, often within weeks. Just three weeks of a brief daily positive exercise can make a lasting difference (HBR). So, by choosing self-care and cultivating positivity, you’re positioning yourself ahead of those who haven’t taken this step.

Here’s to a happier, more intentional path forward!
